Orthomerica® Introduces New California Hip Orthosis


Orthomerica®, the industry leading developer of hip orthoses is pleased to announce the new California Hip Orthosis. The California Hip Orthosis was created to minimize the bulk and increase the comfort of conventional hip orthoses for patients at risk for dislocation.

Comfortable mesh pelvic component based on the popular California Compression Orthosis and a new mesh thigh component.
• Hip joint settings provide a strong flexion/extension stop with mild, adjustable resistance to adduction.
• Patient-adjustable compression to increase comfort during activities of daily living.
• Universal pelvic, thigh and hip joint components reduce inventory and make stocking all sizes more cost efficient.
• Abduction wedge to regulate the clearance of the hip joint over the trochanter
• Four adjustable sizes, SM to XL.
• Lightweight, low profile components are easier to wear under clothing which can increase patient compliance and wearing time.
