PEDIATRIC ANKLE-FOOT ORTHOSIS [AFO]
Prefabricated finished AFOs for prevention of equinous contractions and to aid in the treatment of patients with spastic hemiplegia or diplegia. Leaf spring design allows for smoother gait pattern while maintaining stretch of hamstring and upright posture. Low cost blanks can be custom fitted. Polypropylene orthoses are designed to fit into children’s shoes. Heat modification and padding result in a custom AFO without the need for casting in many instances. Especially effective in clinical and office settings.
