Newport ULTRA
The new Newport ULTRA hip orthosis from Orthomerica is designed to provide protection and support for patients at risk for or with hip instability.
Indications
- Post-operative or injury repair hip patients who will wear the orthosis for protection during healing
- After reposition of hip luxation
- Muscular imbalance
- Patients who have been, or are likely to be non-compliant with rigid, bulky hip orthosis
- Patients whose cognitive function impairs their ability to follow hip precautions
- Arthroscopic hip procedures
- Patients at risk to dislocate
Contraindications
- Global instability
- Patients at risk for an anterior dislocation
- Chronic dislocation
